Judging panel cites rapid growth and lofty ambitions as driving force behind recognition.
INDIANAPOLIS – April 30, 2018 – Springbuk, a health intelligence software company based in Indianapolis, earned high marks from the judging panel for the 19th annual Mira Awards—an event to celebrate “the best of tech in Indiana.”
Techpoint, the growth initiative for Indiana’s tech ecosystem, honored the successes and innovation of Indiana companies, entrepreneurs, educators, and other leaders at The JW Marriott Indianapolis during the 19th annual Mira Awards gala presented by Angie’s List, Infosys, and Salesforce.
A total of 15 award winners were chosen from more than 100 companies, organizations, and individuals who were selected as nominees this year. These nominees were selected from the 205 applications received highlighting achievements during the 2017 calendar year.
The Springbuk team was nominated for three awards this year: Best Company Culture, Innovation of the Year, and Scale-Up Of The Year ($100k – $5M in revenue). In the third act of the evening, they were awarded “Best Company Culture” and “Scale-Up Of The Year.” The Mira Award for Best Company Culture was accepted by Kristy Bittles, Springbuk’s Director of Experience. The judges noted that Springbuk’s rapid growth and ambitious mission made them stand out from the crowd. The Scale-Up Of The Year Award was accepted by Rod Reasen and Phil Daniels, Springbuk’s Co-Founders, who expressed deep appreciation for the luminaries present who paved the way for the continued growth of Indianapolis-based technology companies.
This year’s Mira Awards drew a large audience, both in applicants and attendees. Mike Langellier, Techpoint’s CEO, noted that this year’s awards “smashed all previous records for attendance, registering 400 more people than last year with 1,300 guests total, and selling out of all tickets six weeks before the gala.”
Springbuk’s team expressed gratitude for the recognition, while keeping their eyes set on the future.
“Tonight, we were honored for our culture and our growth, which I believe are inextricably linked to one another,” said Phil Daniels, Co-Founder of Springbuk. “Our pace of growth and expansion reflects a culture that attracts and retains the best possible team members.”
“We believe that extraordinary people build exceptional products, and these awards are a testament to the extraordinary people who have joined our organization,” said Reasen. “I can’t express how proud I am to be a part of this team.”
Over the next year, Springbuk aims to add dozens of jobs in software development, sales, health strategy, and product development.
