Wellness Program Highlights

The statistic that best captures the success of the past 12 months is one of our wellness programs, Real Appeal. This program combines science with direct-to-consumer marketing principles that may help members lose weight, feel good, and help prevent weight-related health conditions. In the past 12 months, 738 employees have enrolled in Real Appeal, and 586 of these members fall within the At-Risk category. All of that to say, the program is engaging the right people. The results are tremendous: 2,946 pounds were lost in 12 months, 372 members have attended four or more sessions, and 251 have attended at least nine sessions.

Executive leadership plays an active role in supporting and communicating our wellness programs. They understand the correlation between wellness programs, productivity, and healthcare costs and are dedicated to offering meaningful opportunities for employees to embrace wellness. IGT takes an innovative, empowerment-based approach by offering activities that are engaging, convenient, accessible, and affordable. Our leaders participate in many events sponsored by IGT such as local charitable 5Ks, stair climbs, and support employees in doing so. They promote Weight Watchers at Work, fitness classes, running outdoors with co-workers, and eating healthy meals in the café. They believe in being a leader in wellness within the community by supporting fundraising events including in-house challenges to support local charities, such as American Heart Association and American Cancer Society, where the company matches generous donations made by the employees.

Program Differentiator

IGT provides four weeks of 100% paid parental leave to all full-time U.S. employees for the birth of a child or placement of a child through adoption or foster care. Employees can use this time intermittently or continuously up to a year from the Life Event. The purpose of parental leave is to give parents additional flexibility, time to bond with their child and adjust to the new family situation, as well as balance their professional and work obligations.
